Melbourne’s theatre crown jewel The Production Company has revealed the three shows for the 2018 season.
Jeanne Pratt founded The Production Company two decades ago. This year marks the 20 anniversary.
“I started the Production Company 20 years ago to give work to our extraordinary talent in Australia,” Jeanne said at the 2018 launch from her home Raheen. “58 shows later we have given many of them their first break. It’s like a Who’s Who of music theatre”.
The 2018 includes the Australian premiere of ‘A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder’, first performed in Hartford, Connecticut in 2012. The musical is based on the 1907 novel ‘Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal’ by Roy Horniman.
