There is a lot of confusion in Melbourne this morning with the announcement of The Rolling Stones Australian date overlapping the 30 Seconds To Mars interview at the same venue.
30 Seconds To Mars are scheduled to perform at Rod Laver Arena on March 28 and so are The Rolling Stones.
When Noise11 posted the Stones dates at 5am today we were bombarded with 30 Seconds To Mars fans demanding to know what was going on.
“Can you confirm the march 28th date – as i have tickets to see 30 Seconds to Mars on that date at the Rod Laver Arena (where they are playing) – thanks,” posted Mandy Williams.
Mal Cook also asked, “How can the Stones be playing Rod Laver Arena on the SAME night as the re-scheduled 30 Seconds to Mars show??”.
Interestingly, both shows are promoted by Frontier Touring Company.
The 30 Seconds To Mars dates are already rescheduled dates. Noise11 is investigating if the 30 Seconds To Mars tour is still happening or is being moved.
UPDATE:
At 9am @frontiertouring tweeted “Thirty Seconds To Mars kindly hand over Melb venue to The Stones, moving their own show to next doors Hisense Arena”.
