The Rolling Stones have left Australia following the untimely death of Mick Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott.
Mick Jagger, Ron Wood, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards boarded their private jet on a flight out of Perth headed to Abu Dhabi on Thursday afternoon at around 3pm.
A flight from Perth to Abu Dhabi indicates the flight is destined for London instead of New York, where Scott was found dead on Monday. The departure was used as a diversion for Mick Jagger to board a different plane bound for Los Angeles where he is now staying,
Scott took her own life just two days before The Rolling Stones were due to begin the Australian leg of the 14 On Fire tour, as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
The tour is scheduled to recommence on June 7 in The Netherlands.
Australian tour promoter Frontier Touring has advised that the Australian and New Zealand tour is hoped to be rescheduled for October and November this year and for fans to hold onto their tickets.
Fans who would rather a refund now can secure their refund for the value of the ticket, fees and charges from their ticketing agency or place of purchase.
