A concert by The Roots was cancelled in Austin on the weekend following a bomb threat at the venue.
In a statement a beer company sponsoring the concert tweeted, “Due to a security concern we have made the hard decision to cancel tonight’s event. Your safety and the safety of all fans at SXSW is our most important priority”.

The show by The Roots was part of the SXSW Music Festival. SXSW tweeted

The threat came five days after Austin had multiple bombings in private homes killing two men and injuring one woman.
The earlier instances were unrelated to the SXSW threat. A 26 year-old Trevor Weldon Ingram has been arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat.
