Kim Salmon has reunited the classic 1985 line-up of The Scientists for an Australian tour in October and November.

The Scientists were around from 1978 to 1987. For 2017 Kim Salmon, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Thewlis and Leanne Chock will reunite for four shows starting in Perth where the band was formed.

The Scientists even once appeared on Countdown.

The Scientists have had a number of reunions, first in 1995 in Perth. In 2006 Salmon put together another version of the band after being invited by Mudhoney to perform at All Tomorrow’s Parties in the UK. The same line-up played London again a year later. There was a tour with Sonic Youth in 2008 and a performance in New York in 2010.
