The Scorpions, “the Cold Chisel of Germany”, will perform in Australia in Melbourne in September for the very first time.
The Scorpions are best known in Australia for that one song ‘Wind Of Change’ but in Germany the band has had 13 Top 10 albums in a row. In the USA The Scorpions also grabbed American ears with a string of Top 10 albums ‘Blackout’ (1982), ‘Love At First Sting’ (1984) and ‘Savage Amusement’ (1988).
‘Wind of Change’ from the 1990 ‘Crazy World’ reached no 7 in Australia and no 4 in the USA but in the USA the album failed to make the US Top 20.
Travelling to Australia for the first time in the 50-year history of the band, Scorpions, comprising Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (guitar), Matthias Jabs (guitar), Mikkey Dee (drums) & Pawel Maciwoda (bass), will play their debut Australian show at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Tuesday October 18.
The Scorpions will perform at The Palais in Melbourne on October 18 for Live Nation. Tickets will go on sale at 10am Friday July 29.
