The Stones Roses Choose Sydney Opera House To Close World Tour

The Stone Roses will perform their final world tour shows at Sydney’s iconic Opera House in December.

The Sydney shows will be the only Australian shows for The Stones Roses.

“It’s a big moment for us to be welcoming the legendary Stone Roses,” says Ben Marshall of the Sydney Opera House. “It is a dream come true to have their soaring, incandescent music fill the Concert Hall , with their unique combination of euphoria, melancholy and menace.

“These Opera House performances will be the band’s only Australian dates on what is already an historic tour. These may be the most intimate shows you’ll ever have a chance to see them play.”

The Stone Roses played the first show of the tour in Halifax, UK in June and then played four hometown Manchester shows to 250,000 fans. They also played a sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden and a headline show for T in the Park.

The Stone Roses Sydney Opera Shows are on 12-14 December, 2016. Details on how to register for tickets are here.
