Adelaide’s The Superjesus have reformed and will play their first reunion show back in hometown Adelaide in February.
The ‘Jet Age’ line-up featuring Sarah McLeod, Tim Henwood, Stuart Rudd and Paul Berryman will do it one more time on February 1, 2013.
“It’s something we’ve always wanted to do,” said singer Sarah McLeod, “but with Paul living in Washington all these past years it never seemed possible, once he returned and we started to entertain the thought the energy came flooding back within the four of us and it was clear that it was ON!”
The Adelaide gig so far is a one-off. It will be the first show for The Superjesus in more than 10 years.
The Superjesus formed in 1994 and in 1997 picked up two ARIA’s for Best New Band and Best Debut Single ‘Shut My Eyes’.
In 1997 they signed to Warner Music and recorded their debut album with Matt Serletic (Matchbox Twenty, Joe Cocker).
The 2000 album ‘Jet Age’ featured their biggest hit ‘Gravity’.
The Superjesus will perform at The Governor Hindmarsh, Adelaide in Feb 1.
