Melbourne’s The Temper Trap have scored a headline slot at Stubbs for SXSW.
Stubbs is one of SXSW’s bigger venues. In recent years it was the venue of choice for Metallica, REM and last year Duran Duran.
The Temper Trap will finish off the Thursday night showcases at Stubbs with Kaiser Chiefs going on before them.
The Temper Trap will unveil songs from their sophomore album live for the first time at SXSW.
Their last album ‘Conditions’ sold over 800,000 units. The two singles ‘Sweet Disposition’ and ‘Fader’ sold more than 2.5 million.
This is a return trip to SXSW for The Temper Trap. They also showcased in 2009.
The yet-to-be titled second album by The Temper Trap will be released in June.
