The Teskey Brothers Debut Two Brand New Songs

Melbourne’s The Teskey Brothers have kicked off 2019 with two brand new songs ‘Right For Me’ and ‘Baby Blue’.

Of ‘Right For Me John Teskey says, “It’s basically a song about being smitten for someone more than you should, considering you don’t know them very well. It’s sort of a love-at-first-sight feeling. Or the feeling you’ve had a spell cast on you, or a love potion. Or the feeling you’ve been hit by one of cupid’s arrows. Or all those metaphors put together. I guess it’s a subject lots of people have felt and written about over the years (‘Black Magic Woman’, ‘I Put A Spell On You’, ‘You Must Have Put Your Whammy On Me’). We’ve all had that feeling of being hooked on someone you don’t really know that well, but you fantasise that they’re just (Right For Me).”

Warrandyte four-piece The Teskey Brothers formed over a decade ago when brothers Sam (guitar) and Josh Teskey teamed up with childhood friends, and long-time jamming buddies, Brendon Love (Bass) and Liam Gough (Drums).

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
