Canadian band Trews have a real Australian flavour on their new record ‘Thank You And I’m Sorry’. They have covered Paul Kelly’s ‘Leaps and Bounds’ and sing with Shannon Noll.
Shannon Noll features on the opening track ‘Poor Ol’ Broken Hearted Me’ along with The Black Crowes’ Rich Robinson.
Robinson also plays on three other songs, “Lord Keep Me In Mind’, ‘Oblivion’ and ‘Not Yours To Love’.
The Black Crowes were direct descendants from The Faces and another special guest on The Trews record is former Faces keyboard player Ian McLagan on ‘Herm-Aphrodite (She Was A Guy)’.
Trews hail from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada and are now based in Toronto.
Trews are currently touring Australia. Shannon Noll will join them for the final Aussie gig in Hallam, Vic on November 5.
Remaining dates are:
November 1, Melbourne, Ding Dong
November 2, Warrnambool, The Loft
November 3, Adelaide, Jive
November 5, Melbourne, Hallam Hotel (with Shannon Noll)
