Stars of The Voice, Prinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes, announce a covers album plus an original and guest spot from Mark Lizotte.
While they didn’t win, Stevens and Barnes certainly made a splash in season one of Australia’s version of The Voice.
Now they’ve joined forces for their new album Come Together, featuring versions of soul classics that span the years from Aretha Franklin to Beyonce.
There will also be a brand new track, written by Barnes and her husband Ben Rodgers, titled ‘The Hard Way’, as well as guitar and backing vocals from Mark Lizotte AKA Diesel.
The album has twelve songs, which were recorded in five days with mentor Eric J Dubowsky and a full band.
Come Together will be released on Universal on October 5, with a tour being planned.
