Philadelphia rockers The War On Drugs are once again returning to Australia after their much-lauded debut at 2012’s Harvest Festival.
In addition to their appearances at the Falls and Southbound Festivals, The War On Drugs will play sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne that promise to once again impress Aussie audiences.
Beginning back in 2005, The War On Drugs began as a partnership between frontman Adam Granduciel and Kurt Vile, who was recently announced as a performer on next year’s Laneway Festival. Vile has since left the group but not before he contributed to their 2011 album ‘Slave Ambient’, while Granduciel helped out on Vile’s own ‘Smoke Ring For My Halo’.
Currently, The War On Drugs are working on their eagerly-awaited third studio album, and no doubt they will be giving Aussie audiences a sneak peak of their new material.
