The Wiggles are undoubtedly the world’s most successful children’s act and their iconic nature has earned the charity SIDS and Kids a cool thirty-five grand.
The car is “skivvy red” with soft-looking hubcaps split into quarters with each quarter representing a different member’s skivvy colour. It had low kms, a full service history, was automatic and had actually been driven by the band. Also, if the winner was ever worried about strangers not knowing about their Wiggles love, they can worry no more. The band’s logo was plastered all over the thing.
Ever since the death of Bernadette Field – daughter of their manager Paul and niece of the blue Wiggle Anthony – from SIDS 21 years ago the band have been working with SIDS for Kids.
Hopefully the winner of the auction read the terms and conditions which state: “Should the successful bidder wish to on-sell the vehicle the “Wiggles” logo must be removed prior to sale.”
The Wiggles had an enormous hit with the song Big Red Car in 1995. The song is still one of their most memorable tunes, driving millions of parents around the world to the brink of insanity.
