Thom Yorke has revealed more details of the upcoming Atoms for Peace album, including track listing, cover art and release date.Writing on Radiohead’s official blog, Dead Air Space, Yorke said that the album – called Amok – will be out on February 25. You can see some happenings at the band’s shiny new website at www.atomsforpeace.info.
The band features Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea on bass, producer extraordinaire Nigel Godrich on “production and programming”, session wizard Joey Waronker (Crowded House, R.E.M.) on drums and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco (David Byrne, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and was pieced together so Yorke could play his solo album The Eraser live, but this is the first time they have written a record together.
The songs that will appear on the record are:
Before Your Very Eyes
Default
Ingenue
Dropped
Unless
Stuck Together Pieces
Judge Jury and Executioner
Reverse Running
Amok
Note: This is not necessarily a final track listing.
We might have to wait a little bit, but the band plan on hitting the road in support of this record.
“I’m still reeling from being on tour for much of the year but we are planning to get together and play etc next year,” Yorke wrote. “We’re figuring all that out right now. Atoms is an ongoing and open ended project, where it leads i know not for certain… which is what is nice about it.
