Radiohead’s Thom Yorke will do guest vocals on electro producer Flying Lotus’ next album.
The LA-based producer has told Rolling Stone that Yorke will guest on his forthcoming follow-up to 2010 epic Cosmogramma.
He said of Yorke, “I definitely respect what he’s up to. But the biggest surprise to me in getting to know him is that he’s a funny guy. He’s the jokey one.” Flying Lotus albums usually only have two or three guest vocals, but he suggested that the new album might have more guests.
Flying Lotus is the nom de plume of producer Steve Ellison, who is the great-nephew of Alice Coltrane (John Coltrane’s wife). Cosmogramma debuted at 17 on the Billboard chart and Yorke provided vocals for the album track ‘…And The World Laughs With You’.
The new album will be titled Until The Quiet Comes and will be released on the Warp label on October 2. Check out his last Yorke collab below.
