Thom Yorke Says He Has Blown His Chances of Being Knighted

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke says he cannot see a day when he will become Sir Thomas Yorke.

Appearing in The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Yorke said, “I think I’ve blown that chance. I think when our current glorious leader got in I put an offensive enough message. I’ve got no chance now”.

Thom says the UK is in just as much shit as America right now. “We are in a position where the Prime Minister has lied to the Queen,” he said. “That’s apparently not so cool but nothing is being done about it. Apparently she was asking her aides if she could get rid of him. It is so crazy at the moment, rumours come and go”.

Yorke says if Trump goes he will be replaced and life will go on but BREXIT will drag the UK down with its fallen leaders. “You have a chance to push him off the cliff. We are tied to our guys and they are going to take us off the cliff with them.”

Thom told Colbert that his Radiohead music was never considered to represent the future, although now it looks that way. “I wasn’t thinking about the future. I was looking at what was happening at the time. It seemed to get more obvious. It is more overt now. I feel like everything I was talking about was there. When we wrote the album ‘Hail To The Thief’ that seemed pretty bad. That was the time when Bush Jr got in and now we are here.”
