Thom Yorke won’t attend Radiohead Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke says he has no intention of attending the induction of his band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

While Yorke says he has “always been very blasé about that stuff” he actually has a real excuse for not being there. On the night of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Yorke will be in Paris for the premiere of his piano piece by French duo Katia and Marielle Labèque with the Philharmonic de Paril.

About the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Yorke told Variety, “We don’t really understand it as English people.” He then said that every awards show in the UK ‘Stinks” comparing the BRIT awards to “a drunken car crash”.

Yorke however does hope he is nominated for an Academy Award this year. His track ‘Suspirium’ from the movie ‘Suspiria’ qualifies for Best Original Song. The Academy Awards nominations will be announced on 22 January, 2019.
