Three Lions (Baddiel & Skinner and Lightning Seeds) have created a new UK chart record with the biggest drop in a single week ever.

Three Lions Football’s Coming Home was the number one song in England last week. This week it is no 97.

The Official Charts UK reports that the song was adopted by England for the World Cup 2018 although it was created in 1996 for Euro 96.

The previous worst effort was Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir with ‘A Bridge Over You’ falling from no 1 to no 29 in the second week.

Three Lions Football’s Coming Home is the first song to fall from number one right out of the top 40 in a single week.
