Over 35,000 people united in Milton Keynes Bowl on Saturday for world famous dance festival, Electric Daisy Carnival UK, which included triumphant sets from dance legends Tiesto and Hardwell.
With over 20 flame units providing 3000 pyrotechnic displays, this really was the UK’s hottest dance festival. The kineticCATHEDRAL stage towered over Milton Keynes at 90 feet tall and 240 foot wide, with EDC’s symbolic owls watching over the masses of dance fans as they raved in the sunshine.
Throughout the day festival goers saw incredible DJ sets from the likes of Sub Focus, Pendulum, Route 94, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, and BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam. Paul Van Dyk returned to a spiritual home yesterday amongst the EDC UK fans, to play an incredible set of classic trance. Steve Aoki let the crowd eat cake with his infamous cake-in face performance, taking to the main stage for a show stopping set.
Electric Daisy Carnival wasn’t just about the music, the unparalleled line up of the world’s premier DJ’s and global acts were joined by dynamic displays, carnival creatures, performers and sensory sights aplenty.
“This year’s EDC UK has been an amazing celebration of music, art and individuality,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “The festival has truly found a home across the Atlantic. Being in a place with so much dance music history has given me such inspiration for next year’s event and I can’t wait for fans to join us again.”
