Tim Minchin’s Anti-Pell Song Nominated For APRA Song of the Year

in News,Noise Pro

Tim Michin has been selected in an eclectic list of songs for APRA Song of the Year with his scathing response to the George Pell paedophile hearing ‘Come Home Cardinal Pell’.

‘Come Home Cardinal Pell’, released in February 2016, reached number 11 on the Australian singles chart. The song helped fund journeys to Rome for victims of sex abuse in order that they could watch the Cardinal deliver his evidence.

The diversity of this year’s nominees takes in a broad spectrum of the Australian Music Industry with Missy Higgins listed against Nick Cave against Sia against Flume against King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
