TLC Cancel Australian Open Performance With No Notice And No Announcement

US R’n’B group TLC left fans with a show in Melbourne last night, piking on their performance because of the heat.

Yes, it was hot. Melbourne was sweltering with 38 degrees C (100 degrees F) but no notice is also not acceptable. The 38 degree temperature at the time was forecast a few days in advance.

TLC’s Chilli tweeted fans that they were dressed and ready to go on when the show was cancelled. TLC were in Melbourne to perform at the Australian Open, which went ahead on the day in hotter conditions indoors at Rod Laver Arena.

“Didn’t know it got so hot out here. That type of heat is really dangerous,” Chilli tweeted.

Fans are now being offered refunds for the no-show.
