Todd Rundgren Warns Trump Supporters Not To Come To His Shows

Todd Rundgren says he doesn’t want Trump supporters to come to any of his shows and doesn’t understand why they would want to come anyway.

In an interview with Variety, Rundgren was asked by Chris Willman about two fans who walked out of one of his shows after the opined about the American demagogue. “If I had the power, I’d say: If you’re a Trump supporter, don’t come to my show, because you won’t have a good time,” he said. “And also, I don’t understand your frickin’ values. Because I’m not singing about that. If you don’t understand that basic thing, you’re just fooling yourself. I guarantee that in this show, if you’re a Trump supporter, you will likely be offended. Let the buyer beware! I mean, if you can’t take a joke, or you can’t admit that you’ve made a mistake, you don’t belong with the rest of us”.

On this new album ‘White Knight’ Rundgren has recorded the song ‘The Man In The Tin Foil Hat’ with Donald Fagen on vocals about the demagogue. The song features the lyrics ‘The man in the tin foil hat is tweeting like a teenage girl” and “He is writing cheques to his accusers with those tiny little hands”.
