Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers opened their 2013 tour last Thursday in at the Ford Center in Evansville, IN and started their five-night stand on Monday at New York’s Beacon Theatre.
Although Petty’s sets change most nights, there is still a core of about half of these songs that has been played at each show so far in the tour. The set included four covers of songs by the Byrds, Monkees, Little Feat and Chuck Berry along with a good portion of music from Petty’s solo efforts and one from his work with The Traveling Wilburys.
