Tommy Emmanuel To Play Remote Tour In August

by Paul Cashmere on April 11, 2016

in News

Tommy Emmanuel will return to Australia in August and play some remote shows in centres he has not visited in more than a decade.

Emmanuel will perform three shows in regional Western Australia on the tour as well as two east coast shows for Nowra and Canberra.

“Tommy’s always been committed to bringing his incredible show to his fans far and wide, and we’re thrilled that we could find the window to bring him to regional Australia in his most sought-after mode – live, solo and acoustic. Tommy Emmanuel solo can often seem like a full rock’n’roll band” said promoter Rob Potts.

“When people watch me play, I hope they feel that they’re watching someone who’s doing what they’re meant to do. It’s like a calling, and I’ve always known that when I played, something good happened to the people who have heard it. I can’t wait to get back to some of the towns I started my touring career in and play for old friends and new fans,” said Tommy.

August 22, Mandurah, Performing Arts Centre
August 23, Bunbury, Entertainment Centre
August 24, Albany, Entertainment Centre
August 28, Nowra, Entertainment Centre
August 29, Canberra, Canberra Theatre
