Music legend Tony Bennett will return to Australia in April.
It has been nine years since Bennett last toured Australia, then with k.d. lang. This time he will tour with his youngest daughter Antonia Bennett, a graduate from the Berklee School of Music in Boston.
Over the weekend, Noise11.com reported that Tony’s signature song ‘I Left My Heart In San Francisco’ was turning 50 today. 85-year old Bennett has been performing for more than 60 years. He has won 15 Grammy Awards and is one of only a handful of artists to have had a hit record in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s.
His most recent album ‘Duets II’ featured songs with Amy Winehouse, John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill and Josh Groban.
