Kendrick Lamar is taking Travis Scott and D.R.A.M. on tour with him.
Kendrick will be kicking off his hotly anticipated DAMN. Tour on 12 July (17) in Phoenix, Arizona, with the shows ending on 6 August (17) in Los Angeles.
He’ll be joined by his two collaborators on the North American trek, after they both featured on Kendrick’s recent number one album.
DAMN., the 29-year-old’s fourth studio offering, soared to the top of the charts when it was released earlier this month (Apr17). It landed the top spot in both America’s Billboard 200 and the U.K.’s R&B Albums chart, and peaked at number two in countries including Australia, Norway and Sweden.
While fans have lapped up the 14-song record, no one loves it more than Kendrick’s mother Paula Oliver. The proud mum sent the star a glowing text praising his work, adding emojis after nearly every sentence.
“OMG (oh my god). This cd is bombbbbbb! You should of put me and your daddy on this one too j/k (joke),” she said in the message Kendrick shared with his Instagram followers.
“This is your best one to me, no bulls**t. Your daddy said u looked stressed out on the cover lol I said n**ga that’s the point, we always stressing him out Since a Lil boy you been a over thinker though (sic).”
She also admitted she missed the Coachella stream, but praised his “die hard fans” who she said she loved.
Kendrick closed out the 2017 Coachella Festival on Sunday (23Apr17) after landing the biggest sales week on the U.S. album chart this year (17).
