Trent Reznor gives away six tracks from the expansive The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo soundtrack.
On his nin.com website, Reznor is offering a six-song, 35-minute sampler of music from the long-awaited soundtrack created by him and Atticus Ross, the team behind the soundtrack to The Social Network.
Reznor writes, “For the last fourteen months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers.”
The soundtrack is three hours long (as long as the film, it seems), and iTunes is also hosting a trailer that is another 8-minutes of music scored separately to the film.
The full soundtrack will be released on December 9, and the film hits cinemas on December 21.
Sony Pictures have uploaded the cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Immigrant Song’ that Ross and Reznor put together for the film, with Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on vocals.
