Triple J have tonight announced a new radio station wholly dedicated to unsigned artists, expanding their hugely successful Unearthed program to 24 hours a day.

The station will hit the airwaves on October 5 and will feature programming without “traditional programs and announcers”.
You’ll have to be up with new technology to pick it up. It’ll be broadcasting on digital radio or online only.
If you tune to Triple J Unearthed right now, you’ll get a little teaser which will be looped until the full launch in about six weeks.
So if you haven’t picked up a digital radio yet, I guess it’s time to step into the 21st century and go buy one.
Artists who have been “unearthed” in the past include: Grinspoon, Endorphin, Killing Heidi, Boy and Bear, The Frowning Clouds and The Hello Morning to name but a few.
