Wollongong rock band Tumbleweed will release their first album with their original line-up in 15 years later this month.
For ‘Sounds From The Other Side’, Tumbleweed reunited with producer Paul McKercher to recreate their original sound. McKercher produced their 1995 ‘Galactaphonic’ album.
‘Sounds From The Other Side’ was recorded on two-inch tape (just like the good old days) at Sydney’s Rancom Studio and mixed on the Central Coast at Grove Studios. Some of the songs date back, but were not used, in the 90s.
Tumbleweed’s original line-up broke-up in 1995 but reunited in 2009 for Homebake and then played Big Day Out and Meredith.
Upcoming Tumbleweed dates are:
September 13, Brisbane, The Zoo
September 21, Melbourne, The Espy
September 28, Sydney, The Annandale
‘Sounds of the Other Side’ will be released by Shock Records on September 27.
