Billboard has revealed the top-grossing touring acts of the year, and U2 come out on top by a long way.
Billboard Boxscore notes that the U2 360° tour trumped everyone in 2011, grossing $293 million from 44 shows with a total attendance of a little less than three million fans.
Next best was Bon Jovi, with $193 million from 68 shows and 1.8 million fans. Brit boy band Take That were third with $185 million from 29 shows, also playing to 1.8 million attendees.
Roger Waters was fourth with $150 million, Taylor Swift at fifth with $97 million, Kenny Chesney at sixth with $84 million, Usher at seventh with $74 million, Lady Gaga at eighth with $71 million, Andre Rieu with $67 million and Sade with $53 million at ten.
Then Michael Buble, the Eagles, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Glee Live, NKOTBSB, Journey, Britney Spears, and Iron Maiden at number twenty.
Rounding out the top 25 are Kylie, Neil Diamond, Enrique Iglesias, and country stars Jason Aldean and Toby Keith.
