Canberra’s electronic music band The Aston Shuffle have signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing.
The Aston Shuffle is Mikah Freeman and Vance Musgrove.
They started working together in 2006 and developed their name with remixes of Rocket Men’s ‘Candy’ and Claude VonStroke’s ‘The Whistler’ before releasing their debut single ‘For Everyone’ through Ministry of Sound’s Hussle Records in 2007.
‘Seventeen Past Midnight’ was the debut album for The Aston Shuffle in 2011. It made it to number one on iTunes Electronic Chart and sliced off a few hits with ‘Start Again’, ‘Your Love’ and ‘Won’t Get Lost’.
The Aston Shuffle signed their record deal with EMI in March and now join the Universal Music Publishing arm for songwriting.
