Usher will have the number one album in America next week despite a massive drop in first week sales since his last album.
‘Looking 4 Myself’ is expected to sell about 130,000 units according to Hitsdailydouble.com. That is 200,000 less than first week sales for his last album ‘Raymond Vs Raymond’ in 2010.
‘Raymond Vs Raymond’ eventually sold 1.3 million. Based on that percentage, ‘Looking 4 Myself’ should sell about 500,000 which in today’s sales climate is quite okay these days.
Other contenders for the US chart next week are Rush ‘Clockwork Angels’, Mary Chapin-Carpenter ‘Ashes & Roses’, Motion City Soundtrack ‘Go’ and Jimmy Fallon ‘Blow Your Pants Off’.
