Usher has won primary custody of his sons in a long and bitter legal battle with his ex-wife.
The singer was embroiled in a custody dispute with his former spouse Tameka Foster over their two children Usher Raymond V, four, and Naviyd Ely, three.
TMZ reports that on Friday a judge ruled in favour of Usher, awarding him with principal guardianship of the tykes.
The star is said to be absolutely thrilled that the emotional ordeal has come to a close.
‘It’s a relief it’s over,’ a source told Us Weekly.
‘An independent party looked at the evidence and did the right thing.’
The children will spend most of their time with Usher.
Tameka retains some custodial rights, but the details of her visitation privileges are currently unclear.
The family experienced another tragedy this summer.
Tameka’s son and Usher’s stepson Kile unfortunately died after becoming brain dead following a jet ski accident in July.
