Vance Joy has a brand new song titled ‘Fire and the Flood’.
The song is a new track recorded for a special, deluxe edition of Vance Joy’s ‘Dream Your Love Away’ album.
“I had a recurring image in my head of a guy walking in the neighbourhood where his ex-girlfriend lives,” says Vance Joy about his inspiration for ‘Fire and the Flood’. “He is haunting the places they used to go together. He has time on his hands and feels kind of useless. He thinks that when they are back together he’ll be at peace again.”
Vance Joy has also filmed a video for ‘Fire and the Flood’ directed by Seattle based Hayley Young.
Vance Joy will be the special guest of Taylor Swift on her upcoming Australian tour. The final three shows at Melbourne’s AAMI Stadium will be his last shows for 2015.
