Director Jonathan Demme’s third documentary on Neil Young, Journeys, premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and will open in theaters on June 29.
The movie takes you to a town in North Ontario where Neil Young grew up. Neil talks about his famous dad who the town has now named a school after. You meet his brother Bob and see where he fished as a 5-year old
‘Journeys’ is the follow-up to Neil Young: Heart of Gold (2006) and Neil Young Trunk Show (2009), this film mixes footage from Young’s solo show at Toronto’s Massey Hall with a road trip through Ontario including Neil’s hometown.
As well as ‘Journey’s, Neil will also soon be releasing ‘Americana’ with Crazy Horse and then a second Crazy Horse album soon after.
