Vince Neil is no stranger to the Las Vegas police and he stretched his record of arrests on Thursday evening with a new misdemeanour battery charge.
According to witnesses and TMZ.com, Neil allegedly grabbed a woman’s hair from behind and pulled her to the ground around 5 PM Thursday at the Aria Hotel on the Las Vegas strip. TMZ says it was a reaction to the woman coming up to Neil’s friend Nicholas Cage and asking for an autograph. Cage restrained Neil after the incident and moved him to the outside of the hotel, trying to calm him down although some media reported that they, too, were fighting.
Police issued a ticket to Neil after the incident for misdemeanor battery but he was not taken to the station.
Vince’s run-ins with the Las Vegas police include DUI arrests in 2007 and 2010 and a battery and disorderly conduct charge in March 2011 in an incident with his girlfriend, Alicia Jacobs.
Neil ended his 35 years as lead singer of Motley Crue with their final show on December 31, 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
