Vinyl sales are now almost 9% of all physical album sales in the USA.
New data from Nielsen Music the return to music on vinyl is continuing to increase with vinyl sales for 2015 to June 30, 2015 up 38.4%.
CD sales are down 10% for the year while digital album downloads have steadied with a drop of just 0.1%.
Taylor Swift has the no 1 vinyl album of the year with 33,500 sales for her current album ‘1989’. In total, 5.6 million vinyl albums have been sold in the USA so far this year.
