Grunge revivalists Violent Soho return from the US, work on their third album, and are officially back in action.
The Queensland band have had a hell of an 18 months in the US, plugging their self-titled album (on Thurston Moore’s label) and playing with Dinosaur Jr, Alice in Chains, Built To Spill and The Bronx.
Now they’re back in Australia and have been working on their third album, due out next year.
The first taste is the new 7-inch ‘Tinderbox/Neighbour Neighbour’, released on the hip I Oh You label. They’ll do a quick run of shows to celebrate the single in November, including an I Oh You showcase at Melbourne’s Workers Club on Halloween with Dune Rats, Drunk Mums, and DJ sets from Two Bright Lakes, Bleeding Knees Club, World’s End Press and more.
Tickets are available from MoshTix for Sydney and Adelaide, and OzTix for Melbourne and Brisbane.
