Voivod Australian Tour will mark 35th anniversary

Voivod will return to Australia in January marking 35 years since their first album.

Voivod formed in Canada in 1982 and released their debut album ‘War and Pain’ in 1982. The 14th Voivod album ‘The Wake’ was released in September 2018.

Original singer Denis ‘Chewy’ Bélanger left in 1994 but returned in 2002. Drumer Michael ‘Away’ Langevin is the longest serving member having never left the band. Former Metallica bass player Jason Newsted was a member of Voivod between 2002 and 2008.

Voivod will tour Australia for David Roy Williams.

Wednesday January 23rd – Brisbane The Crowbar
Thursday January 24th – Canberra The Basement
Friday January 25th – Melbourne Max Watts
Saturday – January 26th – Sydney The Crowbar
