The video grabbed the attention of both Gotye and Kimbra who retweeted their approval of the clip and also attracted actor Russell Crowe who pitched his own songs to the Canadian band.
Russell might even get some action out of Walk Off The Earth. Today they tweeted “We’ve been listening to your tunes all night. There is some Gems in there”.
Crowe was in the band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts who released three albums. A new album from Russell Crowe and the Ordinary Fear of God is also being worked on. Russell is married to Aussie singer/songwriter Danielle Spencer who released her second album ‘Calling All Magicians’ in 2010.
His father-in-law is Don Spencer, the long running presenter of Play School in Australia and the UK. Don reached no. 32 on the UK chart in 1962 with ‘Fireball XL5’ but is best known for his catalogue of children’s albums.
