Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson has cancelled three dates through November due to illness.
While no formal announcement has been made and there are no details on the illness, word came from the Bowery Ballroom in New York (via BrooklynVegan):
Due to a medical issue we regretfully are forced to cancel Wanda’s upcoming performances in October. Wanda will be fine and she looks forward to getting back on the road as soon as possible! Thank you for the all of the well wishes and prayers.
Jackson had three dates scheduled for November, the 15th at The Hamilton Live in Washington, DC, the 16th at the Bowery Ballroom and the 22nd at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. None of those dates are now showing on her touring page, so it appears that the other two shows, along with New York, are now off; however, those in Kansas City should check with the theater as Jackson was appearing with Loretta Lynn.
