Author Clinton Walker Warner archivist Dave Laing have dug deep to uncover some rare Australian recordings from the 70s for the new Warner compilation ‘Boogie Presents Silver Roads: Australian Country-Rock and Singer Songwriters of the 70s’.
Hard to find tracks from John J Francis, Autumn, Country Radio, Brian Cadd & Don Mudie, Axiom, Russell Morris and Gary Shearston have been found for the album.
Rarities like Gypsy Queen, Show Me The Way, Play Mumma Play, People Call Me Country and Thorpie’s ‘Cigarettes & Whiskey’ have been cleaned up for the new compilation.
Warner Music will release ‘Boogie Presents Silver Roads: Australian Country-Rock and Singer Songwriters of the 70s’ on August 9.
