Warner Music put $36,144.37 into the bank of the Breast Cancer Council and other charities with the In Their Shoes charity auction.
80 acts designed a pair of Converse sneakers for the auction and of the 80, six generated sales over $1000.
The star sneakers came from Ed Sheeran, Paramore, Skillerex, The Black Keys, You Am I, Birdy and Tegan and Sarah.
A statement from Warner Music Australia thanked fans who contributed to the cause. “A huge thanks to everybody who participated in the coolaccidents in their shoes initiative. Over 80 pairs of uniquely designed Converses were auctioned last week with some intense closing bids”.
“Thank you to all of you who came to our exhibition at the Standard and a special shout-out to Lo-Fi Collective and Instu who kindly provided an awesome exhibition installation.”
