ZZ Top legend Billy Gibbons treated Helsinki to a free concert in the streets this week and no-one seemed to care.
ZZ Top are in Europe preparing for their last tour starting in France on July 6.
Billy Gibbons took his guitar to the main mall in town. Despite having one of the greatest guitarists in history playing in the streets, the Fins just walked on past.
ZZ Top have had four number ones, one number three and one number four album in Finland. The most recent ZZ Top album ‘La Futura’ peaked at no 4 in 2012. ‘Mescalero’ in 2003 reached no 18, ‘XXX’ in 1999 reached no 24 in Finland despite only making no 100 in the USA. ‘Rhythmeen’ in 1996 reached no 3, and ‘Eliminator’ (1983), ‘Afterburner’ (1985), ‘Recycler’ (1990) and ‘Antenna’ (1994) were all number one albums in Finland.
