Ice-T has premiered his all-star (and we mean ALL-STAR) documentary Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap in New York.
The new documentary is a two-hour long mix of freestyles and interviews with the biggest stars in rap and hip-hop, including Eminem, Nas, Kanye West, KRS-One, Yasiin Bey (AKA Mos Def), Rakim, Joe Budden, Marley Marl, Dr Dre, MC Lyte, Run DMC, Redman, Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Bun B, Ice Cube, Common, Q-Tip, Cypress Hill, Sugar Hill Gang, Xzibit, Treach, Afrika Bambaata, Raekwon, Immortal Technique, Chino XL, Kool Keith, and even more.
The former rap star now actor launched the documentary on Wednesday at New York’s Lincoln Centre with Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, and DJ Khaled.
It showcases freestyles and rhymes from some of the biggest rappers ever, as well as including intimate stories from their lives. The documentary also charts the history of rap and the fundamentals instilled in the genre from the beginning.
