Stephen Colbert has kicked off his new show with a long list of impressive guests and, on Wednesday night, he brought Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp on for an impressive take on Nelson’s 60’s classic Night Life.

Nelson and Mellencamp, along with Neil Young and Dave Matthews, are about to put on the 30th anniversary edition of Farm Aid, set for this Saturday in Chicago. Joining them this year are Imagine Dragons, Jack Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jamey Johnson, Mavis Staples, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Holly Williams, Insects vs. Robots, Ian Mellencamp, the Blackwood Quartet and Tim Reynolds, who will be playing with Matthews.
