The new clip for Watch The Throne’s ‘No Church In The Wild’ track turns violent as the crowds riot.
While we swear there was already a clip for the opening track to the monolithic Jay-Z and Kanye collaborative album Watch The Throne, the two of them just dropped a new one yesterday.
It was shot by director Roman Gavras, who caused a minor ruckus with his M.I.A. clip for ‘Born Free’, where redheads are hunted down and slaughtered.
This clip isn’t so different, depicting military and rioters going head-to-head-to-baton-to-face in the middle of a city, certainly echoes recent city riots in Greece and the Middle East, as well as the civil disobedience of the Occupy Movement.
It’s pretty brutal in parts, but also as threatening and epic as the song. Check it out below.
