Frank Zappa dedicated his 1969 album ‘Hot Rats’ to his newborn son Dweezil.
I am excited about my upcoming tour. It will be a thrill to perform the material from the entire “Hot Rats” album. Especially “It Must Be A Camel.” The album was dedicated to me when it was released in 1969, the year I was born and it is very special to me.
Dweezil Zappa was born on 5 September, 1969. Frank Zappa ‘Hot Rats’ was born one month later on 10 October, 1969.
“I am excited about my upcoming tour,” Dweezil said in a statement. “It will be a thrill to perform the material from the entire “Hot Rats” album. Especially “It Must Be A Camel.” The album was dedicated to me when it was released in 1969, the year I was born and it is very special to me”.
‘Hot Rats’ was the second solo album for Frank Zappa. The six-track album featured just one track with vocals, ‘Willie The Pimp’ sung by Captain Beefheart. Lowell George of Little Feat also played (uncredited) on the album.
