Legendary veteran Western actor Harry Carey Jr has passed away ay the age of 91.
Carey was born on May 16, 1921 and in 1946 after leaving the Navy became an actor.
Harry Carey Jr starred in over 100 movies and 100 television shows and was part of the stock of actors for John Ford’s Westerns with John Wayne.
With Wayne, Carey starred in ‘She Wore A Yellow Ribbon’ (1949), ‘Rio Grande’ (1950) and ‘The Searchers’ (1956). Carey also starred once with his father Harry Carey in the 1948 movie ‘Red River’.
In more contemporary films, Harry was one of the old-timers in the bar in ‘Back To The Future III’.
Harry is survived by his wife Marilyn Fix who he married in 1944 and four children.
